1) TEDx Talk
• we went from making 2 million tonnes of plastic to making 450 million tonnes in 65 years.
• less than 9% of all plastic made is actually recycled
• the average use period of a single use plastic is 6 months but it is barely used for 6 minutes

2) National Geographic
• these researchers found out that plastics break faster that we thought.
• about 44% of birds eat plastic
• when an animal eats a plastics toxins from with the plastics are released and toxins that the plastics might have gathered through the air are also released into the animals body.

3) This is plastics
• Plastics are made from raw materials like natural gas, oil or plants, which are refined into ethane and propane.
• Ethane and propane are then treated with heat in a process called “cracking” which turns them into ethylene and propylene.
• These materials are combined together to create different polymers.

for the information from the first one I might throw them in as smaller facts in my video. for the information from my second source 'The National Geographic website', I thought of showing a single use breaking down into the ocean with all of the animals thinking its food. for the last source 'This is plastics website' I just wanted to further understand how plastics are formed as i think I might focus a little on that in my video
