Survey:
For my survey I asked 10 questions and got a total of 52 responses. I asked them the following questions:
1) How old are you?
2) What single use plastics do you use?
3) How often do you think use them?
4) Do you use alternatives to single use plastics? 5) How much do you care about the effects of plastics on wildlife. (plastics destroying habitats, animals eating plastics) (1 is lowest, 5 is highest) 6) What type of videos do you find most engaging?
7) Whats your favorite color? 8) What type of music do you enjoy? not a specific song
9) Would you be willing to be apart of an interview or a focus group?

Survey response:
So after seeing over all of the responses I figured out that a lot of people know that they use Single Use Plastics (SUPs) daily which means it will be difficult to get them to boycott SUPs. I also figured out that I most of the SUPs that my audience uses are plastic bags which means I will have to explain alternatives to SUPs like jude bags and metal bottles. I also figured out that live action videos are the most engaging to my audience and they find 2D animation the least engaging. So i will probably do a mix between live action and either stop motion, because its easier, or 3D, because more of my audience find it more engaging. However, I think they mean really well done 3D so I might just stick with stop motion just to be safe. Most of the people said that their favorite color was blue so I might try to change some of my posters to incorporate that color in them.
Focus Group:
For my focus group I asked 4 people that answered my survey for feedback on my 3 mockup posters.
1 is the poster with the fishes
2 is the poster with the bird
3 is the poster with the chicken

Focus group response:
For poster 1 they all said that I would need to change some of the colors. Some of them told me to change the colors of the text. One of them told me to add some more fishes. They said the background color was good and the message was good.
For poster 2 they all said that it needs more color and the text on the logo is difficult to read and so I will have to change the color of the background. The also said that the red text pops out and the information is good.
For poster 3 they said that the logo on top is a little harder to read and the design could be a little better but the stats were good for the cause and the color combination of brown on white is nice.
Interview:
For my interview I asked 4 different people that answered my survey to do an interview on their thoughts and opinions of SUPs

Interview response:
From the interview I learned that people don't seem too motivated to boycott the use of SUPs as they think its too expensive or that they just don't see the impact that stopping the use of SUPs actually makes. Half of the people that I interviewed over estimated the amount of plastic made and the other half underestimated by a lot so in my poster or video I would have to explain the true amount of SUPs that are actually made.
