Outline cut:
By the time I would have had to show this music video to my class for feedback, I had injured my hand and so I was unable to animate the characters and some of the backgrounds. That’s the main reason for not having the animations done. For the repetitive backgrounds feedback, I only repeated them since I didn’t have the other angles or animations done yet. The background for the chorus is supposed to spin and be a different color each time, for this video I had just used one of my test shots to get the idea across for what will happen at that time. The zoom in on the book will have an animation in the book. I had initially used the comic sans font just as a more casual font for the younger age, but since it already looks like a library, I will remove the label and see how it looks. I mainly used the bright colors since I knew it would relate to the youngest age group the most.
First cut:
The feedback that I got on this cut is that I should rethink how long the title is on for, and I should rethink the spacing and position of the text to make it easier for the younger audience to read it. I was also told I should make the man dance instead of stand still, which is what I was going to do. Finally I was told I could add lyrics under the book scene and that I should try to fill the full page with the animation. I can make the book and the animations bigger, and instead of putting the the text under the book, I'll put it on the other empty page.
Second Cut:
For my second cut I fully finished the music video including the conference room scene at the end and the extra dancing at the end. I also added lyrics for the song throughout the music video as speech bubble, comic style banners and normal TOS. I also changed up the title sequence as I thought it was a little difficult for smaller children to read the animated font. While the animation is still there, it's a lot more subtle.
