1) The garbage truck

These are all of the layers that are in the garbage truck. I made it using mainly simple shapes in powerpoint to give it an aesthetic that shows that not a lot of time was spent creating it and also as memes will either have a poorly cut out image of the object they are trying to show or they would recreate it using simple shapes. I have used the truck as a transition between the live action or stop motion to the digital animation.

2) The landfill

To create a landfill I used blender. I distorted a cube then made multiple copies of that cube. Put rigid body physics on all of the cubes. I then textured the cubes and added a spotlight above it to light the scene.

I took 2 pictures of it from above. 1 was the normal image and the other was a black and white image to show depth. I took the picture as a square so that I can tile the material easier.

I then created a plane. added the colored image as the material and the depth image as the texture. I then mixed the depth image with a noise texture to create hills. I made the sky blue and added a sun light opposite the camera. And then i rendered it out.
