Why I chose Paperback writer
I chose it because I liked the pace of the song. The lyrics were simple and repetitive which would make it easier for me to create a music video for the younger age groups and since it’s about a writer, I could create the music video for the young adults about a student trying to write their essay or an email to someone. I can show someone struggling to write something that they need to write.
Lyrics:
Paperback writer (paperback writer)
Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book? It took me years to write, will you take a look? It's based on a novel by a man named Lear And I need a job So I wanna be a paperback writer Paperback writer
It's a dirty story of a dirty man And his clinging wife doesn't understand His son is working for the Daily Mail It's a steady job But he wants to be a paperback writer Paperback writer
Paperback writer (paperback writer)
It's a thousand pages, give or take a few I'll be writing more in a week or two I could make it longer if you like the style I can change it 'round And I wanna be a paperback writer Paperback writer

Research on Paperback Writer
McCartney wrote ‘Paperback Writer’ after reading a Daily Mail report about an aspiring author, and composed it on the way to Lennon’s house in Weybridge. It was his attempt at making a song based on a single chord. The influence for the song may have come from Indian music at the time or their their marijuana use. Pauls singing was double tracked to make it sound like a Beatles song.
