Unsung Heroes (Video + Explanation)

Everyone in the class was assigned a different year group and everyone got the same brief which was "Because of COVID-19 restrictions parents are not allowed to attend events at school so we want to use media to "bring the event to them" and make them feel like they were part of the celebration. Mrs Bartlett will provide you with an introduction video which you will edit together with the footage you collect on the day. As a minimum you must include pictures of the breakfast itself and a video of the recipients receiving their awards. You can capture and include any other footage you feel that would suit the brief. When you are filming you must consider camera shots/angles, lighting, and sound quality. When you are editing you should consider text and graphics on screen and music."


the way that I interpreted the brief was by making it seem like the parents, students and teachers were all in one room together having some breakfast, which is what was originally supposed to happen but COVID made it not happen. So what I wanted was some relaxing and happy music to be playing in the background kind of like what you would hear at a breakfast event. I also made sure to include at least a picture of every person with their award and I also made sure to have the videos for the students that were learning from home. This way I could include everyone with or receiving their reward for being unsung heroes.
